Milo’s Lemonade & Hibiscus-Ginger Tea Spritz

Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 hibiscus tea bags
  • 1 c. hibiscus-ginger syrup
  • 2 c. Milo's Lemonade
  • 4 c. chilled soda water
  • 1-2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1-3 lemon wheels (optional)
  • 1-5 fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Hibiscus-Ginger Syrup: 1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan and heat until dissolved. 2. Add ginger and hibiscus tea bags. 3. Steep for 30 minutes. 4. Remove tea bags, strain, and chill completely.
  2. Assemble the Spritz: 1. Combine syrup, Milo's Lemonade, and soda water. 2. Taste and add lemon juice if desired. (The Milo's Lemonade usually provides enough brightness on its own.) 3. Serve over ice. 4. Garnish with mint and lemon wheels.
  3. Note: For a less sweet variation use 1 cup hibiscus-ginger syrup, 1½ cups Milo's Lemonade and 5 cups soda water.
