Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As a People First company, Milo’s is committed to uplifting our associates, our customers, and our fans no matter their gender, race, or creed. This is why we invest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all areas of our business. First and foremost, Milo’s focuses these efforts internally with ample education opportunities and events to celebrate our diverse workforce. We also solely work with suppliers and customers that uphold the same beliefs and standards. 

Milo’s fundamentally believes that racial injustice is a human rights issue, and on that basis, we stand with all people of color. Milo’s recognizes that racism is an institutional problem that we all have to work to dismantle together. In that regard, we have formed an internal Anti-Racism team specifically for the purpose of: 

  • Identifying, understanding, and dismantling racism 
  • Advocating for healthy, anti-racist change 
  • Educating the organization on personal and structural racism 
  • Helping ensure that Milo’s continues to evolve as an anti-racist organization 

Our current efforts include three-part video series to educate and celebrate people of color during Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Indigenous Peoples Month.  

As a Certified Women-Owned Business, we are also committed to gender equity in the workplace and the market. 36% of our salaried positions are occupied by women, and 35% of managers at Milo’s are women. We also produced an internal video-series to educate and celebrate during Women’s History Month. 

In the same vein, Milo’s supports the LGBTQ+ community. Recently, we’ve expanded all benefits to include same sex partnerships to support our associates. We also have plans to celebrate Pride Month with educational courses and our own internal Pride parade.
